NEW DELHI: Mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics on Thursday said it expects to sell 10 million handsets in India next year as it aims to double its share in the mobile phone market here to 15%. “Currently, we have a 7% market share in India and we hope to double it to 15% by end of next year... we aim to sell 10 million phones in the country,” Samsung Telecommunications India general manager (GSM marketing) Asim Warsi told reporters. He said the company would launch over eight new models in the first quarter of next year. Samsung would also increase number of outlets to 1,000 by first quarter of next year from the current 300 for its ‘Shop and Shop programme’.
